Membership and Activity
The Cootamundra Development Corporation (CDC) welcomes and encourages new and existing members to enquire how they can help contribute. The CDC has a representative Board and new membership is currently being sought. The Board is supported by a small administration team to coordinate activities that include the Wattle Time Fair, Street Christmas Functions and The Local Business Awards.
For business people, the CDC provides an opportunity for to get together and benefit each other through networking and shared ideas for local business development.
As a NSW Business Chamber alliance partner, the CDC provides access to the state's peak business organisation. The NSW Business Chamber is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes to maximise their potential.
Established for over forty years the CDC has provided a central location to support and promote community and business activities, a contact for new business opportunities and to facilitate community events that attract people to Cootamundra and, with the support of council, provided support services to Centrelink access to local residents.
The CDC is looking to move forward, as a forum for local business and an opportunity to develop a representation to our local Council. This can be achieved while building relationships within the 300 plus business owners in our region.
Your membership and contribution will support the promotion and development of the business community in the region. Contributing to a proactive approach to issues and opportunities affecting the business environment, as a voice to Local Government and a business group with a focus on building business through new and established networks.
Recognising we all have an equal role to play membership has been reviewed to include a single business membership and a community membership for non business people who would like to support a business development in our region.
