Leila is passionate about helping others and at 10yrs old she has decided to shave her beautiful long hair to raise money for children with Leukaemia. Ruth McDevitt and Naomi Ismay are walking from Stockinbingal to Cootamundra in order to assist Leila to reach her goal. You are invited to join them at Albert Park at 11am where you can have your hair coloured for a gold coin donation and see them cross the “Finish line”.
Introduction to energy management for businesses - free workshop
Want to reduce your energy bill? Council has organised for an energy management expert from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage to give a free 1 hour workshop on energy management for business. Located Stephen Ward Rooms, next to the Cootamundra Library, 61-71 Wallendoon St. Light refreshments provided. NSW Office of Environment and Heritage is also offering 2 businesses in Cootamundra free personalised energy management advice. The expert running the workshop will visit your business on Wednesday 3 April and assess your energy use. Call Council on 1300 459 689 if interested.

Driving from Sydney; simply get on to the M1 which becomes the M5 and keep following it south where it becomes the M31 (Hume Highway). Take the Jugiong exit (Riverside Dr, with a must see period style Pub with magnificent outdoor areas) and soon turn right onto Jugiong Rd, which then goes all the way to Cootamundra. Driving from Melbourne; jump onto the Citylink and take the M2 exit (North), and then past the airport turn on to the Western Ring Rd (M80) heading north and next take the Hume Freeway (M31).
