Market Day at Ellwoods Hall Stockinbingal

Great Day begins at 9am.

A  large amount of stalls including candles, plants, second hand books to name a few. Taste testing of Sharon Ormonds legendary Christmas cakes and puddings as well as a display of her patchwork. Dance Entertainment.  The newly formed Heritage Room will be open in the old baby health clinic room displaying historic memorabilia and documents.

And of course Terese's coffee shop will be serving Art of Espresso coffee and delicious food at 44 Hibernia

The Cootamundra Turf Club is gearing up for the annual running of its cup meeting .The day's feature race, the 2018 Cootamundra Cup, is worth $27,000.  Ticketed entry to the margquee costs $120 per head and includes bar facilities and lunch.  Tickets are available from the Central Hotel.  This year there will be $3000 worth of prizes up for grabs in: Best Dress lady. Bed dressed lady runner up, berst millinery and runner up, best dressed gent , young racegoer female and male.

Roller Skating at the Coota Sports Stadium

Cost is $10 per person, all participants under the age of 13 must be signed in by an adult. Fun for all ages with a wide range of skate sizes available for kids and adults, if you are a beginner or a pro you are most welcome to come along and relive the 80’s. Cootamundra is conveniently located almost exactly half way between Melbourne and Sydney.

Driving from Sydney; simply get on to the M1 which becomes the M5 and keep following it south where it becomes the M31 (Hume Highway). Take the Jugiong exit (Riverside Dr, with a must see period style Pub with magnificent outdoor areas) and soon turn right onto Jugiong Rd, which then goes all the way to Cootamundra. Welcome to Cootamundra!

Driving from Melbourne; jump onto the Citylink and take the M2 exit (North), and then past the airport turn on to the Western Ring Rd (M80) heading north and next take the Hume Freeway (M31). Following the Hume Freeway to Gundagai and about 10 minutes past the Dog On The Tuckerbox, take the Muttama Rd exit all the way to Cootamundra. Great to see you here at Cootamundra!
