a 2 day workshop with Jennie Forster of Pastels: Colour & Texture. $160 per person for 2 days booking by Friday 10th of May with payment.
Student Requirements: 2x Black Art spectrum colourfix paper, plus any other coloured papers of choice. (Warm mid tone) Pastel pencils (only if you have them) Apron, paper towel or tissues, eraser, old bristle brush. Backing board (if needed) and masking tape, easel.
Reference photos of landscapes, clouds, or rural scenes of choice. Pastels Soft (bring what you have). When you work in pastels you do require a lot of colours to get the maximum benefit of the medium - but a basic set should have a warm and cool in all the primary colours (red, blue and yellow) plus secondary colours (green, orange and purple). These in different tones would be good - a soft white (The Schminke brand is awesome) A few strong darks eg. Art Spectrum Flinders red violet and Flinders blue violet.

Cyanotype Workshop - Create beautiful images without a camera

Anyone interested photography, works on paper, textiles, the decorative arts and the colour blue will LOVE this two-day workshop with accomplished photographer and artist Raimond De Weerdt. In this 2-day Workshop, you will learn:
- Detail about cyanotype as an artform, its history and uses;
- An introduction on how to make cyanotype photograms; and
- How to print cyanotype prints from negatives.
- The skills to continue making distinctive cyanotypes such as fine art prints, books, bespoke cards, textiles and wall hangings. Introductory class, suitable for beginners. Each participant will go home with their own original cyanotype prints and the skills to create more.
- All materials provided.

Cootamundra is conveniently located almost exactly half way between Melbourne and Sydney.
Driving from Sydney; simply get on to the M1 which becomes the M5 and keep following it south where it becomes the M31 (Hume Highway). Take the Jugiong exit (Riverside Dr, with a must see period style Pub with magnificent outdoor areas) and soon turn right onto Jugiong Rd, which then goes all the way to Cootamundra. Welcome to Cootamundra!
Driving from Melbourne; jump onto the Citylink and take the M2 exit (North), and then past the airport turn on to the Western Ring Rd (M80) heading north and next take the Hume Freeway (M31). Following the Hume Freeway to Gundagai and about 10 minutes past the Dog On The Tuckerbox, take the Muttama Rd exit all the way to Cootamundra. Great to see you here at Cootamundra!
